In emails and web pages when i click on links it doesn’t responds. This is due to the default program/protocol for opening the link is unspecified. So i go into internet options, Programs tab, set programs, accosiate a flie type or protocol navigate down and locate HTTP and HTTPS and see there is no default set.

Select to set default program and it opens the window with the applicable programs, I have Firefox but not the Internet explorer.

Select Firefox and close internet options, click a link and it works, but not for too long, it appears that after few hours it looses the default program once again and this process is the only method to solve.

I even tried uninstalling IE and reinstalling it, which put it in as a default option while selecting the program to open HTTP with, but along with the default setting is gone as well.

No new programs have been installed, except a few minor windows updates. No antivirus changes.

So basically the default protocol for opening HTTP links in emails and on web pages is being lost even after setting them manually.
