Default Internet Network was working fine, now it's not

I have two problems. I had my router system set up and all worked well. My modem and router was set up on my PC which runs windows xp sp3. I had my laptop attached to it from other room and I have windows xp sp3 on that also. My modem broke and I had to get a new from Dish Network. I again installed all and internet and router are working well on pc but it will not attach to laptop. It shows router and I choose to attach but then it says that no connection is found or I will get a low or no connectivity.

Second problem is that I am trying to connect my grandmother to my router next door and she has vista. I can see the router and it shows that I have 5 bars of service and they are green but when you open the internet it does not connect.
    Can somebody help me?

    Hello,all

Here mis-matched encryption keys are suspects.Remove all stored wireless network profiles. Stop ALL encryption and MAC filtering on router, get the PCs attached. Add encryption back and then attach and enter right encryption key. I suggest WPA at a minimum and WPA2/AES if the machines support it.

After downloading SP3 could not connect. My wireless net adapt would not light up received "Not Connected" on disp removed sp3, reverted to sp2 still had problem which was possibly changed by sp3 and remains off even after reverting to sp2.To repair this go to "Start" "Run" type services.msc scroll down and find “Wireless Zero Configuration" and turn on or activate and you enable to connect. Here is a list of other possible related errors and problems (1) "AIRGCFG.exe", no entry point. (2) "WZCSLDR2.exe", no entry point. WLANAPI.dll not in dynamic library. Though first repair should solve most problems to permit you to use PC to connect and repair problems via downloads.
