Thread: The new netbook strong signal but limited no connectivity

Hi,

my mother laptop attaches to our wireless well. When i moved house just with my perfectly working desktop, it would locate wireless connection but have only restricted or no connectivity.

I buy a brand new netbook and it find our wireless connection just well, says it has strong signal, but can not attach to internet. It says it is acquiring network address and then tells me that it could not.

Eliminate any encryption and MAC filtering from router and make out if you can connect. If so, then you can enable encryption again. Also, eliminate ALL stored wireless profiles from affected machines and search for new networks.
