    Default Can connect to router but not to internet please resolution

    Hi everyone,

    my problem is that I can connect to my wireless router that is G ADSL router but cannot connect to the internet. When I connect to my wireless router is says Access: Local only

    I now buy my laptop, it’s a Compaq Presario CQ61 and is running vista. My step dad has also buy a new Acer laptop and has similar problem, though my mum has a Samsung netbook and can connect with no trouble.

    Hi,

    Ensure that router is not locking out wireless connections through MAC Address Filtering.

    Login to the router and find any MAC Address stuff--might be in security, or advanced or filters.
