Thread: Setting up a router network please help

Hence I now have 54g Belkin router, and have three PCs in which 2 wired PC and 1 wireless PC. I was surprising how I setup a private network with the router. So that it has a password and can only be accessed by people in my house. Is there any step by step method on how to do this? Any programs required? I still have the install cds.

Give a login password. Enable encryption, rather WPA-PSK with a long passphrase of mixed upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters. Ensure that no unauthorized person can actually attach an ethernet cable to the router.

Truly, for maximum security, I would use WPA2-AES if all devices support it. WPA is not bad, but it is not the best.
