I am attempting to setup vgetty for first time. Right now I am attempting to setup a basic answering machine. Though, I am having difficulties because modem connection does NOT look to be working. It was saying that init failed, but fumbling around web pages, I think I repaired it, because now it says that OK is NOT received.

If there is Intel AC'97 Modem Controller, hardware tools. It was Windows 98. Now it is running Mandriva Linux 2009.1.So how would you repair an OK message? How do I get it to say OK back so it can answer the phone?

Now, the odd thing about this setup, is that physical setup is superior. I am NOT using a regular phone line. I am using a Magic Jack.
