Default My laptop will not boot up after restoring

The laptop works well, but has a thousand downloads on it and was running slow, but it worked well. I restored back to factory settings and now it will not boot. I get option to press F2 but it doesn’t appear to get me far, just lets me modify a few settings. I have press F8 to attempt to begin in safe mode but it does nothing.

I was told that once you reset your unit to factory settings BIOS might have reset to default settings too. You want to set parameters again in BIOS setup by pressing F2. If you're using VISTA, use the SATA or AHDC mode. The problem is that I cannot modify mode, simply boot order, how do I know what order to put it in?
