VoIP is a great thing. It's very portable. Call rates are less than standard phone service some suppliers even offer unlimited calling for a monthly rate. If living in a studio apartment, simply put the VOIP system in a place near by phone. But what if living someplace bigger, and need the VOIP line to ring on each phone?

The answer is very simple. The wiring requisite to ring multiple phones is inside the house only. Some easy modifications are all that is required to make the entire phones ring.

Running the Lines

• Find outdoor telephone service box.

• For the room on the far end, look for a compatible location to find broadband modem and VOIP system. Near by the telephone. Wiring is required to attach broadband modem to its source.

• Using the power drill and the half inch by ten inch drill bit; drill a hole form the outside wall as close as possible to the telephone service box. Run the telephone wire from the hole.

• Use any the Phillips or flat screwdriver to open the service box. Under it is a line of 4 jacks. The first 1 has a wire inserted in it. This is the cable that relations landline telephone repairs to home wiring.

• Remove the original cable and restore that with line ran through the hole in the wall.

• Close the box, ensuring that do not pinch the new line in the entrance. If required, using the cutting pliers, disconnect a tiny square out of the base of the door to allow room for the new line.

• Within the home, pull on the line till there is no slack left. Fill the hole within using sealant till there are no gaps around the line. Fill the hole with sealant on the outside of the home.

• The line in the handset jack on the rear part of the VOIP machine.
