Port forwarding is an claim setting on your local network router. Using a Linksys router, you can forward the traffic from the Internet to your internal IP camera. This gives anyone the opportunity to view the images and video stream from your camera. This also enable you to place a link on a Web page or give a friend or relative the address to view the camera's images. A Linksys router has an interface available through your Web browser where you can access the router's configuration and set up port forwarding for an IP camera
Step 1
Start browser and type the IP address for the Linksys router in the box. For many default network settings, the IP address for the router ins 193.178.1.1.
• Step 2
Type password for administrative acc for the router. A new Linksys router’s username is blank and password is "admin." Select "Security".
• Step 3
Uncheck "Block Anonymous Internet Requests" and click on "Save Settings". After saving settings, choose "Applications and Gaming".
Step 4
Select "Port Range Forward". A page contain list of text and boxes will come up. Type a name in "claim Name." type "8150" in "Start." Type "8350" in "End."
Step 5Choose "Both" from the protocol part. Type IP address of camera in box, and ensure the "Enable" box is checked. Select "Save Settings", and the camera is now available from the net.
