However internet connection for home is intended to be simple but dependable, sometimes issues happen and knowledge about troubleshooting may be helpful before calling tech support. · Step 5
In the command prompt, enter "ping www.google.com -t" or any other URL on the net. Usually, you will see clear Reply with time=27ms and TTL always maintain the same number. If the ping returns "Destination host unreachable", then there is issue with router connecting outside. Because of the connection from the phone line going outside or the Internet Service supplier. If in that case contact tech support.
