How to Set up a Wireless Network for Use in Your Home
If bounded to a desk by annoying cables with PC? Try wireless! Follow these steps , to be able to move around in house with laptop or remove the messy wires and modems around PC.
• Buy a wireless router from local electronic store. Determine the degree of router needed according the plan to use it. Buy a G router, which will enable to send files to a wireless printer, browse the web and email, and share high speed net from any PC. However, it can only be used inside close proximity. • Step 2
Decide a place in the house that is in the in middle of the house. Keep in mind that the signals will travel from the router in a 360 degree, so ensure placing it in a middle to ensure strong signals can be picked up in each room of house.
• Step 3
Set up the modem supplied from Internet service supplier. Do this by inserting the coaxial wire from wall in the back side of the modem.
• Step 4
After having set up the internet modem, connect it to the wireless router via an Ethernet cable.
• Step 5
Insert both tools in and wait for all of their lights to turn on and start blinking.
• Step 6
PC must be rebooted. After restarting, put the driver cd in PC and install the wireless driver, following the instructions shown on the screen. Doing this will connect to the net. Repeat these steps for all PCs willing to connect to the wireless network.
