Wiring an Ethernet network needs wiring own wall plates. Wall plates enables running Cat-5 cable from the walls, below ground and over roof. By using RJ-45 jacks, you can connect Cat-5 cables from wall to PCs, printers, routers and modems. Cabled networks aren't flat to the same hurdles as wireless networks.
Decide the place of wall plate. If replacing the wall plate and jack, use the on hand one.
Step 2
Cut the wall using the right kind of saw and make sure not to cut the nearby electrical boxes.
Step 3
Pull the Cat-5 cable form the open space. If unable to see the wire, push the wire even more in the wall.
Step 4
Fix the box in place and make a hole to drag the cable through it.
Step 5
Use cable stripper to strip about one inch of coating from the Cat-5 cable. Undo and separate the colored cables.
Step 6
Keep the RJ-45 jack from the wall plate. Put each cable end in the right colored socket. Use the punch equipment to press the cables. Push the punch down totally in the jack to make sure the cables connect rightly.
Step 7
Put the jack and wall plate and fix it by screwing it.
