How to Prevent You Account From Getting Hacked

Here’s how to protect email account from hijackers.

• First up, create a password having numbers, characters, and special symbols. Do not have your name or your spouse name as password. Such passwords are easy to guess.

After that, select a security question. Do not go for questions whose answers are general. If everyone knows your pet’s name, do not select that as security question. As, anyone can follow the 'Forgot password' system and change the password.

Sometimes you may get 'phishing' mails maxim that you can hack anybody's password by sending a mail to a particular id. Be alert, these mails will ask meant for email id and password and sending it to the 'mail server'. There is no such mail server that says others mail account’s password. That mail server's id, is actually the hacker's id. That hacker will get to be on familiar terms with the email id and password. You may also get fake mails from so-called administrator of mailing account, asking for password. These are fake.

• Step 4

For spy ware. Even after all the precautions still the password has been hacked, chances are that you have worked on a PC infected by spy ware. Spy ware is software that secretly runs on PC and saves all keystrokes and screen shots. So every time you enter the password, it saves the spy ware and read the one who installed it. To escape it, have a good anti spy ware to find spy ware on system. Ensure that always work on own personal system, and everybody doesn't have access to it. After that, if working on public PCs, there is a way to type passwords use mouse type the password other way around by typing the last few alphabets first and then other alphabets in ahead of it to misguide the spuware.
