Leaving the wireless router named "linksys" can be a issue if living in an a crowded district the router may won't be the only one with that name in the series of the laptop. The best option to prevent this kind of difficulty is to rename it.
• Open the Web-based configuration for router. Type the default address in the Web browser's address bar.
• Step 2
Enter user name and password. If never changed the settings, default will be user name as “blank” and password as "admin".
After logging the settings page will be presented in front of you.
• Step 3
Click "Wireless".
• Step 4
Rename the router from "linksys" to any thing desired in "SSID" box.
• Step 5
Click "Save Settings".
• Step 6
Reconfigure all PCs and systems that use wireless connection to access the network with the new name.
