"WiFi" is a phrase used to explain the kind of wireless Internet network. Many public places offer free WiFi Internet access. Most PDA electronic systems have integrated adapters enabling them to connect to the Internet through available WiFi networks. Though the particulars will differ based on the kind of PDA, the normal steps of from a PDA with WiFi are the same.

• Ensure PDA is able of connecting to WiFi networks. As a PDA doesn't mean it has these capacities. Find the "WiFi" logo on either the device. Check the technical specifications listed in the device's user’s guide for "WiFi Connectivity".

Ensure standing in the range of a WiFi network. In a public place, look for signs representative that the place you're in provides free WiFi to patrons.

Look for a menu representative that you can reset or modify Network Settings. Select it.

Ensure WiFi connectivity is enabled on the device if the PDA is like Apple's iPod Touch that has the capability to switch the functionality on/off.

Choose a name of a WiFi network for link. If WiFi network is "unsecured" connected routinely and can immediately start using the device with WiFi Internet access. If network is have a padlock icon, it is a "secured" network and enter a secret code to gain access.
