Wireless access points are also known as wireless router. Many wireless routers have both wirelesses as well as cables capacity. Establishing a wireless access point can a little difficult.

Wireless Setup

1. Step 1

Go through the installation guide of the wireless router.

2. Step 2

Log in to the Web console.

3. Step 3

Set a new administrator password on the main page of the administrator website.

4. Step 4

Reset the SSID from the wireless call of the administrator website.

5. Step 5

Select the encryption WEP or WPA/WPA2 and a password from the security segment.

6. Step 6

Adjust MAC filtering options from the security or access segment.

7. Step 7

Connect the wireless router to the DSL/cable/satellite Internet connection. The wireless router will have a "Internet" or "WAN" port to plug the DSL/cable/satellite Internet connection.
