DNS is a set of servers that changes numeric IP addresses in Internet addresses like ABC.com - Official Site of the ABC Network. If PC is on network, it must use DNS servers. Every DNS server has a different IP address.
Its easy to locate the servers on Mac computer.
Select Apple icon from the screen. Click System Preferences.
Step 2
Select Network icon.
Step 3
Choose the method used for connecting PC to Internet.
Step 4
Write down of the values in the DNS Servers box. The PC will list a primary DNS server and one or more servers acting as backup servers.
