Laptops are capable of using dial-up Internet connections. Even unable to afford broadband access or if living in a location where it's not present one can still get the Internet on laptop. A few easy steps can have connecting to Internet the traditional way quickly.

Dial-Up Access on a Windows Laptop

Step 1

Go to "Start" and open "Control Panel."

Step 2

Open "Network Connections".

Step 3

Select "Create a New association" or "Create a New net Connection."

Step 4

Check the box "unite to the Internet" and relate to "Next."

Step 5

Select "Set Up My Connection Manually" and select "Next."

Step 6

Select "Connect Using a Dial-Up Modem" and select "Next."

Step 7

Give a name to dial-up connection and select "Next."

Step 8

Enter cell receiver number to connect to Internet as well as select "Next."

Step 9

Enter user name and password and select "Next."

Step 10

Select "Finish."

Step 11

Connect laptop to a telephone jack via standard telephone cord. Track ISP's protocol for dialing.
