Establishing and connecting to a wireless network is a simple procedure and can be a great asset around in house. A Wi-Fi network cuts down on the amount of cables in house and offers Internet access to desktop PCs, laptops, cell phones and MP3 players.To do so, PC must have a wireless network card and you must be in range of a wireless network.
Wi-Fi Connection for Windows XP
1. Open wireless icon from system tray.
2. Click wireless connection in dialog box to connect PC to.
3. Type WPA password if required.
Wi-Fi Connection for Windows Vista
4. Right click "Network" from system tray.
5. Select "Connect To."
6. Click wireless connection in dialog box to connect PC to.
7. Type WPA password if required.
Connecting to Wi-Fi on a Mac
8. Select Apple icon.
9. Click "System Preferences."
10. Click "Network."
11. In network dialog box, click "Airport" from "Show".
12. Click "Preferred Networks" in drop down box near "By Default, Join."
13. Click wireless network that to join.
14. Type WPA password if required.
