Using an ftp network to access your file from anywhere anytime without cost

A spreadsheet is required while working on a presentation or some image or video while away from home. But there’s a simple and free way to access files on home PC everywhere and anytime. It is known as ftp server.

• Download and install ftp server application.

• Add a user account. Select Edit and then Users. Select Add option. Type a user name and password and hit OK. Select Shared folders. Add the folders to access from away. Select Add, and browse the folders. Highlight any selected folders and click Set as home dir. This folder will be the first folder that on log in.

• Alter settings to be able to access from away. Select correct and Settings. Click on passive mode. Check Use custom port range box.

• Open security options to enable access to server. Go to Control Panel and Open Security Center and click Windows Firewall to type firewall settings. Select Exceptions and then Add Program.

• To use ftp website within net, open IP address under IPCONFG and to exploit from away network, additional IP address is needed.
