Certificate Authority is needed to execute some tasks in MES (Microsoft Exchange Server). These involve Active Directory Replication.

How to Get Microsoft Certificate Authority

1. Make sure that you are a View Only Administrator. Open MES from Start menu in Programs. Open Delegate Controls. The Exchange Administration delegation window will load.

2. Click Add in "Users or Groups." Click Browse. The "Select Users, Computers, or Groups" will load. Select user name. Click "Exchange View Only Administrator" from list. Hit OK.

3. Open EMS (Exchange Management Shell). Open MES. Click "Exchange Management Shell".

4. Open New-Exchange Certificate command.

5. Select process specified by Certificate Authority. This sends certificate request to that particular Authority.
