Thread: Honeypot

Recently I read article on attacks and other threats on internet. It shows few measures taken to stop them. I want to know what is honeypot and what it do.

1) Protecting networks and PC programs demand more savings firewalls, anti virus etc. Honeypot is term where he ground is open for attack. And information is gathered on basis of attack for calculating cause of similar.

2) Honeypot has many aims like deflect attention of attackers to targets that look interesting and easier. This is a trap pirates is imitation of system / program / wifi access point. It copies potentially interesting for an attack but has no contact with real system. It simulates activity / system services / activities of users of system.
