Thread: Require help in configuring Linksys WRT54G2 router

My PC having Windows XP professional version and I have Airtel connection attached to it. Now I bought Sony Vaio laptop which has Vista. I want to share similar Internet connection on Sony laptop with PC. Router which I used has Wireless ability. So I want help in configuring Linksys WRT54G2 router. Give me suggestion for configuring router.

1) Earlier than applying any hardware for sharing Internet connection, first be sure that similar Internet connection used on many PCs. Sharing similar connections on various PCs is not supported by many ISPs. Majority of ISPs track Mac address of PCs which are attached to their connection this helps ISP's in differing services to PCs which are using their subscription. So first be sure that connection can be shared and then implement any solutions.

2) To organize router firstly login to router. For this you require default IP address of router which found by referring user manual. Enter Default IP address of router in Address bar of browser and press enter. System prompts to enter User name and password. Enter right combination of User name and password. Now you will be redirected to router configuration page. Contact ISP and obtain arrangements which are necessary for connection sharing.
