Thread: Extend signal from router to roommate

He is D-link N150 USB stick and I have dlink n150 router. He obtains 7% signal as other roommate on G obtains much more. The roommate with low N signal is in room from bedroom. Which is about 30 feet?
I tried drilling into them for speaker mounts and it was bitch. Is there way to utilize second router to extend signal to give best signal. So please tell me what to make internet better. So please tell me the wireless extender.

Visibility is important factor for longer distances. But my friend that 25 km link with Linksys wrt54gl with directional antennas with out amplifier. Place directional antennas on windows pointing each other. Directional antenna raise signal but they aren’t effective at home even you know place and direction of router it is possible that signal has deflection and come from other direction. Place router on other side that get internet from wireless. WRT54GL has strong wireless provable better that friend PC.
