Thread: Problem in Microsoft Security Essentials

I have dell desktop installed with windows XP but now I upgraded XP to windows 7 and using Microsoft security essential on system. But when I update Microsoft security essential it gave an error 0x80240022. So please help me to solve this problem.

Go to Start, click Run, type services.msc, and hit ENTER. Right tick Automatic Updates and then tick Start. In Windows Vista and Windows 7, click Start, and in Search box, type services.msc, and hit ENTER. Right-click Windows Update, and click Start. If Start is unavailable, click Restart.

Microsoft Security Essentials application utilizes services delivered by Microsoft Updates to download virus and spyware definitions and updates and definition upgrade problem caused by few internal mess-up so re-install application.
