    Alteration the Channel on Linksys?

    Log in to Wireless Router

    Utilize a Web browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer to access the administration Web interface of the Linksys wireless router. The plant evasion network IP address of the router is 192.168.1.1, so to access this page just enter "http://192.168.1.1" into the address box of your Web browser, and then hit "Enter." You are currently greeted with a dialog box ask for user name and password, which must enter per your records. The factory default user name is empty, so leave it empty. The code word is "admin".

    Navigate to Basic Wireless Settings Page

    Press the "Wireless" tab on the admin menu, which consists of two parallel vertical menu bars crossways the top of the page. In the Basic Wireless Setting monitor, locate the option for Channel and modify it to the preferred setting. Some router models have an auto-channel option that should be stop before a manual channel assortment can be made.

    Save Settings and Test

    Press the "Save" button on the admin page. The router will save the settings you have modified. Wait for some seconds or so, then test out any device you have that connects wirelessly to the router to ensure functionality on the novel channel setup.
