    Default Cannot defragment disk

I have recently upgraded to the Windows 7 operating system. I am receiving error message while defragmenting my HDD which states that there is corruption in file: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP8\Report”. If you are having any solution for that, then please provide that solution to me. I will be thankful to you.

To defragment your HDD requires some space on your HDD. If the HDD is full or almost normal defragmentation does not happen. Make your household already typing diskdrive *. tmp search and remove all temporary files and the programs that you do not use and also remember to make sure that there is space of about 15 % of your total data.

Follow the steps which are mentioned below to get rid of this situation:

    • Make sure you have 15% to 20% of free disk space to defragment.

    • Run ScanDisk program.

    • Try to defrag in safe mode.

    • Try to defragment with alternative software such as Diskeeper .

    • Delete temporary files and / or unwanted errors and fragments of files with the tool like CCleaner .
