WINDOWS Home Server is an operating system developed by Microsoft. It was developed for scenarios where 8'-10 systems are interconnected or basically for small networks. Some of its features include automated backup service, file sharing and remote access. Other features are listed under, Health monitoring - to keep track of the network activity, anti-viruses and firewall status. Printer sharing to allow centralized access to a printer on the network. Headless Operation - to allow device management without using a mouse and keyboard. Media streaming - to allow media streaming to devices supporting Windows Media Connect, for example the Xbox 360. Select data redundancy - to duplicate selected data on different drives. Extensibility using add-ons - this feature allows third party developers to create add-ons using the Windows Home Server SDK to extend server features.
