How to Reset Your OS X Password??
any help would be appericated

·First, you should restart your machine. You have the option to restart from the password prompt dialog box or you can use the power button on your keyboard if you are using a classic iMac keyboard.
·When the start-up chime sounds press the "Apple" key and the "s" key at the same time.
·once the text screen has loaded and the curser is blinking enter the following commands. Press the "return" key after every command.
mount -uw /
rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
shutdown -h now
·You can turn-off your machine after the last command. Reboot the machine. OS X will run a new setup for you during which you can create an all-new administrator's account. If you find the original administrator's account, you have the option of deleting it, and using your new one.

Thansk for your suggestion. i tried it but it didin't helped with my problem. any other suggetsin would eb very helpful.
