Thread: How to read pop up screen

My OS is Windows xp. When I type "ipconfig" into the search window the DOS screen come for only a few second after that closes. How do I keep it open so I can read what is there?

Start >> Run>> then type "cmd". After that type "ipconfig" into the command prompt window.
