With Windows 7, Microsoft added many graphical developments to all features of desktop most especially to taskbar. If you do not desire to spring for upgrade to Windows 7 and are happy with Vista, you do not have to miss out on these new graphic improvements. Just create Vista taskbar look and feel like Windows 7 by Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install tool Enhance My Vista. This is free intended to permit to implement features in Vista that were intended for Windows 7.
Step 2
Launch Enhance My Vista.
Step 3
Click "Customization" tab in Enhance my Vista.
Step 4
Click on "Taskbar" icon.
Step 5
Check the box adjacent to "Iconize your Taskbar." After it done, save modifications and close utility.
Step 6
Download and install theme for Windows Vista known as Aero VG Theme. This is intended to permit taskbar to show quick preview of program taskbar item signifies, as it does in Windows 7.
Step 7
Reboot PC. After PC restarts, Windows Vista taskbar will look and feel like one in Windows 7.
