Making Windows XP Recovery Console provides an extra system tool when starting PC. It help you repair boot troubles, change important system files, format hard disks or achieve other tasks exterior of OS surroundings. To install Recovery Console, you want Windows XP installation disk. If you want to shield Recovery Console from usage by non-administrators, make an administrator-level account and separate user accounts for non-administrators.

Step 1

Put in Windows XP installation disk from desktop.

Step 2

Go to "Start", and then click "Run."

Step 3

Type d:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons then hit "Enter".

Step 4

Verify installation by clicking "Yes."

Step 5

Reboot PC.
