Upgrading From Windows XP Slipstream to Complete Install
"Slipstreaming" means custom installation of OS, which may or may not have all aspects found in original retail version. If you have slipstreamed version of Windows XP and later choose you would rather have complete install, procedure is easy. You can rapidly upgrade installation of XP with nothing more than Windows XP upgrade disk for selected version, including Home, Professional, or Media Center Edition.
Instructions
Step 1
Put in Windows XP upgrade disc and click "Install" button.
Step 2
Choose "Upgrade," which conserves system settings and other files, as including complete aspects of Windows XP.
Step 3
Follow remainder of instructions, including changing disc in CD drive if needed, to draw to a close automatic upgrade procedure.
Step 4
Restart PC. Now see logo for newly installed edition of Windows XP during boot procedure.
