Restore disk or recovery disk is usually ship with new PC and helps reformat PC or re-install OS must ever run into any undeviating problems. Taking this disk and mounting it to USB drive for backup or for utilize with PC lacking an optical drive occupies first creating image of disk.

Instructions

Step 1

Download and install Alcohol 120%. Alcohol is CD/DVD burning application that also permits for making of ISO images from CDs and DVDs.

Step 2

Put in restore disk into PC. Open Alcohol 120%.

Step 3

Prefer "Image Making Wizard."

Step 4

Choose CD drive having restore disk and click "Next."

Step 5

Enter name to save image as and save it. Choose "ISO" as format and click "Start." Application starts ripping disk to ISO.

Step 6

Download and install WinToFlash. This simplifies procedure of mounting ISO to bootable USB drive.

Step 7

Put in USB drive. Unlock WinToFlash.

Step 8

Choose "Basic parameter" tab of WinToFlash and set "Format" to "USB-HDD," set "USB Drive Type" to "Flash Stick," and set "File scheme" to "Fat32."

Step 9

Choose "Windows Source Path" and look through for reinstate ISO made in Step 5.

Step 10

Choose "USB Drive" and browse for USB flash drive. Choose "Run". WinToFlash starts mounting reinstate disk image to USB flash drive and now act as a Restore disk.
