To boot from CD, you should have bootable CD. Bootable CD is usually OS disc that permits for repairs or re-installation of system. Other boot CDs contain lightweight analytical tools that permit user to run antivirus applications if whole system cannot be reached. Booting from CD is very simple.

Instructions

Step 1

Put in bootable CD into PC. Reboot PC.

Step 2

Press any key after prompted, "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..." You have short time frame to do this before PC starts into Windows Me commonly, so be certain to pay close attention as PC reboots. After you press any key, system will boot into CD and permit access to different choices available on boot CD.
