Thread: Windows 7 Starter Firewall?

I buy a new Acer Aspire One Netbook and it has a trial version of Mcafee installed. I already installed Avera, and I was wondering if I take out the Mcafee Firewall, would Windows 7 Starter have its own built in Firewall to give me with enough protection?

Just ensure that you use the MCPR.exe uninstaller for the uninstallation of the Mcafee trial or Avira will not work correctly.

Because you have a laptop I would say that the window firewall should be fine, actually, that is all I have new for years now as I also use a router which has a build in hardware firewall.
