Thread: XP with Different images

My machine has windows XP Operating System. I want to set different icons for the different drives in Windows XP. It is possible or not? If yes then give me some detailed information. I am waiting for your reply. Thanks in advanced.

Yes, it is possible. Change the drives icons in XP, after that initially gather some icon files with ico extension. So, for setting icons you should to do following:

Setting:

• Open 'notepad' > Save as 'autorun.inf'

• In autorun.inf file write below two lines
[Autorun]

• Icon="<filename>.ico" and save this file.

• Copy your icon file at the root of drive where you save autorun.inf file.

• Rename icon file as 'myiconfilename.ico' 4] Set veiled assets for both (icon n inf) files.

• Reboot the machine.

• Do same above course for other drives if you want to change all drive icons.
