I have just assembled my new PC and am facing a problem while installing the OS. The BIOS detects the hard drive as Master, but it does not detect my DVD drive. I'm unable to boot from the DVD drive. The HDD and the DVD drive are both IDE. I am using a single IDE cable to connect them. The DVD drive powers up properly and I can eject the tray normally. I suspect a jumper issue here.
The DVD drive has three sets of pins labelled as - MA, SL, CS. The jumper is on the MA pin. My system configuration is as follows:
•Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L
•PSU - Cooler Master Extreme Power 460W
•GPU - ZOTAC GeForce GTX260
•CPU -Intel Core 2 Duo E7400
•RAM - Kingston 1 GB 800 MHz
Also, please let me know if the 460 W PSU should be enough for my GPU. I also plan to get a 320GB / 500 GB WD HDD next month. Do you foresee any power issues?
