I working on iMac and it suddenly started reacting slow. It takes much time to load program so I restart it. But when I start it shows an error as "Could not get file info". Please help me to solve this problem. Any help will be appreciated.
I working on iMac and it suddenly started reacting slow. It takes much time to load program so I restart it. But when I start it shows an error as "Could not get file info". Please help me to solve this problem. Any help will be appreciated.
To solve this problem follow the steps given below.
Put in installation disc and reboot PC.
When PC ends starting up from disc, select Disk Utility from Installer menu.
Do not click Continue. If click then, you must restart from disc again to access Disk Utility.
Click First Aid tab.
Click disclosure triangle to show names of hard disk volumes and partitions.
Choose Mac OS X volume.
Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs disk.
To do fsck follow the steps given below:
Run system in single-user mode for command line.
In Command prompt type "/sbin/fsck -fy"
Push return
This shows info about disk use and check error and fix it
If it repair error display this " FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED"
After volume status is OK message display reboot PC
