Thread: Problem during install windows home server

My PC is showing problem while installing windows home server on Windows 7 home premium. It shows Error 2738 when attempting to install windows home server. So please help me to solve this error. Thanks in advance.

Perform steps given below to solve this problem.

1. Start Command Prompt as administrator.

Go to start, All Programs, Accessories, Right click on Command Prompt select "Run as administrator"

2. Type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" in Command Prompt and hit enter.

3. Type "regsvr32 jscript.dll " and hit enter.

For this go to start, All Programs, Accessories, right click "Command Prompt" and select "Run as administrator" and type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll". Now you message appears as DLL has been registered. Now run the installer again.

To solve this error follow the steps given below.

1. Start Command Prompt by Run as Administrator.

2. Type "regedit" in Command Prompt and hit enter.

3. In regedit go to following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{ B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}

4. Remove above key.

5. Exit regedit.
