Default Install KDE with no remove of Ubuntu

I have a gnome desktop and it is been installed with Ubuntu operating system. It is possible to change to KDE without having to reinstall the whole system, it is possible to install it independently. What steps will be needed to do this. Any help would be highly appreciated heavily. Thanks in advanced.

    Default

While booting in Ubuntu , you will have a option between Gnome and KDE.

    1. Open a terminal window dropdown menu Applications, Accessories, Terminal.

    2. In the window that opens, type the command sudo add-apt-repository ACH: kubuntu-ppa/beta and hit Enter. Type your password and verify with Enter. Sources Kunbutu are then added to the list of available sources.

    3. After that enter Order sudo apt-get update and verify with Entrance. After that enter the command sudo apt get dist-upgrade- and verify with Enter.

    4. Click key O then press enter

    5. Lastly, enter the command sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop and hit Enter. Press O to continue and hit Enter.

    6. The KDE packages are the downloaded and installed. Press OK. Choose the interface to start automatically to the start screen, kdm KDE for example and hit Enter. At last, reboot your system. You can then select the desktop start.
