The file systems used by the different Windows OS have different limits on max partition and file size. These restrictions can affect GEAR PRO's capability to build DVD projects and/or physical DVD images. File system limitations are as follows:
FAT
Access available on DOS, all versions of Windows, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP
Partitions can from 1.44 MB to 4 GB in size
Maximum file size is 2GB
FAT32
Access available on Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98(SE), Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 2000, and Windows XP
Partitions can be from 512MB to 2 TB in size
Maximum file size is 4GB
NTSF
Access available on Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP
Partitions can be from 10MB to 2TB, or greater
FAT16: Maximum file size 2 GB
FAT32: Maximum file size 4 GB
NTFS: File size limited by size of volume
