The file systems used by the different Windows OS have different limits on max partition and file size. These restrictions can affect GEAR PRO's capability to build DVD projects and/or physical DVD images. File system limitations are as follows:

    FAT

    • Access available on DOS, all versions of Windows, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP

    • Partitions can from 1.44 MB to 4 GB in size

    • Maximum file size is 2GB

    FAT32

    • Access available on Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98(SE), Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 2000, and Windows XP

    • Partitions can be from 512MB to 2 TB in size

    • Maximum file size is 4GB

    NTSF

    • Access available on Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP

    • Partitions can be from 10MB to 2TB, or greater
