Thread: How to Windows Disable Notification Balloons?

Press the "Start" button. Enter "regedit" in the Start search bar and click the "Enter" key. The Registry Editor window will open.

Navigate through the tree following the path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced.

Right-hit opens the space in right-hand pane. Choose "New" and then the "DWORD (32-bit) Value." Name the novel DWORD "EnableBalloonTips." Double-hit "EnableBalloonTips." Enter "0" without the quotes in the Value Data box. This value of 0 may previously be set. Press the "OK" button. Reboot the PC.
