Default Windows 98SE OS continues crashing

My Win98SE OS continues crashing and I think it is because of a registry error. I have a reg file that contains a full backup of the registry when it was working, but regedit won't let me overwrite the whole registry while the OS is running. I am not getting any solution for my problem and need some help for solving that problem.

You can buy yourself a very serviceable restore laptop many lives left, and get a big HDD, good speed ... and Windows XP ... for a few 100s bucks. And then you won't have to share it with the old man, either.

These happen because you are using an 11 year old OS. Get a new OS.
