I am having Windows 7 on my machine system and I am presently operating on meshwork with more than three customer pc, few are having windows vista and the others are having windows XP. The server we are apply is windows 2000. The matter is that I am testing to map few directory on meshwork, and it is connecting right but after a while connection is lost. I have tested this matter many times but, I am obtaining similar result.

Unless I plant we have on the server a dns and dhcp server, so that my pc did not require to handle the IP address, it mechanically points. The trouble is that this answer will not satisfy my boss.
