Default Services at startup suspends while booting Ubuntu.

I use Ubuntu 7.04, it does not work right. It was good earlier and later on that it started freezing on startup. When I turned it suspends at startup and non operated. I have a dual boot system. I utilize Windows XP as the second part to keep my protection system and to neglect any information miss. So just select Linux to test few programs. The office charges a as, but nothing accure after that. I do not recognize how to solve this problem, I'm not much of Linux. I require assist for it. Thanks in advance.

In Windows, when you tried to open large applications, it makes heavy use of memory and hard drive. And it should also be noted that the two operating systems do not make the same use of resources. You may also have damaged a storage area or on your drive that is not good for normal use of Windows and Linux on the same. While you can use a bootable CD that can check the status of your hard drive to repair bad sectors or problems.

Remember to test your hard drive using hdparm. In any case, to ensure that the CA is around Ubuntu. Often, it is recommended that the graphical environment, you can start the same by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Backspace. If this is not, then try to write the Ctrl + Alt + F1. This takes the command console, and then use the root. Here you can kill the process killall to stop all services are running in the background on Linux. If the problem persists, then it would be better to start in text mode and then sets the graphical environment.

At first they even start in the graphics state can cause a breakdown in the system. You can just run in text mode and use the command to configure Linux. Basically, it is not difficult to re-install back the same. You can use the startup disk for the same thing. Run it and update all your patches and check again. Use text instead of providing support at least a lot more work and it is necessary to block all services in graphics mode.

Also, if possible, try CTRL + ALT + F1 to see that, by chance, you can get an option for the console. Once you have logged in and then try to run the process to kill. And if that fails, then run this command to restart / etc / init.d / gdm restart. I really had a couple of times the the hanging of ubuntu and I another way to solve it, press Ctrl + Alt + F2 and enter the console and type sudo there shutdown-r now and reboot the system loans as usual.
