Default Can't setup OS X Lion on formatted mac

I have formatted my machine, before I was having the leopard and now I am believing to set up Lion and hence, I buy the OS X lion memory stick. When I tested to set up that then that operate good for few time and then it views me the content as trouble below set up, please try again. It was not observed anything that can particular the trouble. I tested out to set up that many of the times but that does not defeat my trouble. Can you tell me that what should I do to troubleshoot this matter or what is the cause for this trouble.

There may be few trouble with the OS disk that you have purchased and so that is not obtaining set up. You should go back and return that and get a latest copy of that. This is the better thing that you can do for this.

The similar thing occurred to me before. So what I did is, set up the leopard first and that obtain set up minus any trouble and after single week I did the set up of Lion. I don't recognize that hat is the logic behind this but it operate for me. So if you require then you can also do it in the similar way.
