The NAS manufacturer Synology has released its operating system Disk Station Manager (DSM) in the DSM Version 4.0. With the new version are the storage systems due to, among other things, and DDNS Quick Connect from the Internet to reach and it supports VLAN environments as well as backups of iSCSI LUNs.

Synology DSM 4.0 is under for free download for owners of a Synology Disk Station x08 series or subsequent models available. The software is part of a live demo to try.
