My CDROM drive is not being exposed in my computer and even not operating correctly?
A. I would advice you that first check in my computer whether your drive is being identified in over there or else check it in the BIOS whether its being identified over there if not then open the cabinet your PC and check whether the power cable is being connected and even the data cable if they are not being connected reconnect them and check the drive is being listed in my computer check for LED light on the drive whether it blinking if it working the problem is with the Data cable of the Drive change the cable and reconnect the new ones. And if still the drive is not being identified its likely to be hardware problem.
It also might me windows problem with the help of Windows 98 registry you can solve these problem by editing the registry it may help you click on the Start button and select Run option from the menu and type regedit and type HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Class\{4d36e965-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} and click OK and remove the upper filters as well as the lower filters value from the right hand side and before rebooting backup your whole registry and then reboot your system.
