My computer is not reading out the Floppy disc?

First of all check all the power connectors as well as the data cable of the floppy drive and check whether the light is being blinking or not or else try some other floppy disc to check whether they are being identified by the floppy drive if not the drive is gone bad and they are very easily available at a heaper rate in the market and easy to replace.
